About Us

Jireh means ‘ the Provider ’ and is one of the names of God in the Bible. A wonderful name for a wonderful God!

We are an Evangelical Christian Church, meeting to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and to proclaim the gospel. We preach and teach the good news of salvation by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The church was founded in 1851, and is firmly based on God’s Word – the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the word of God and it is our guide and standard for all our church activities and by which we try to live our lives as servants of the Lord. 

This year we are celbrating 157 years of God's providence since the founding of the church in 1851
